Group-10 Ethan smith
i am looking forward to seeing how my experiment turns out. I have done some research to see the mental state most social network using people. this helps me understand their mental process of my surveyors and helps me predict my outcome. the studies that i found showed hints of mental dependence and deterioration of their mental health. They showed that people who are frequent users of social media are addicted to going on their accounts. It also showed some eye opening facts about social networking users. I am excited to find out what my survey will show me.

This seems very interesting and I feel it applies to a lot of teens.
ReplyDeletestudies have shown that people who spend extensive amounts of time on social media tend to have problems expressing themselves in real life
ReplyDeleteThis is a good example to show social media and the effect that it has on the mental regression of society.
ReplyDeleteI thought your experiment was quite interesting. I feel that social media users tend to be more awkward when in comes to interaction
ReplyDeleteVery interesting experiment. The mental state of people who use social media is a very relevant topic and more people should know about it.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the outcome for this since I myself feel addicted to social media and feel a strong dependence on my phone and constantly checking it. Cool idea!
ReplyDeletesounds cool, wonder what research methods you used?
ReplyDeleteThis seems interesting and quite true I know that most of my friends and I are addicted to our phones
ReplyDeleteFocusing on the implications of social media use on the mind is a very interesting focus, especially in the generation of technology we are in today.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting experiment because social media is a very significant aspect in our society. Almost everybody uses and even relies on social media and it is important they are made aware of the impacts it has on their mental health. This experiment will definitely educate others and help them rationalize their dependence on social media.
ReplyDeleteI am interested to hear your results!! Are you surveying teenagers, or a variety of people??? Maybe I should deactivate my social media accounts because I don't want to have mental regression!! It would be so cool if your results got published in an article someday!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very relevant study to conduct. I am encouraged to learn the results, and would be curious to see a break done on different age and social groups as well, and would like to compare the results to studies conducted on similar contexts when TV was thought to have negative social impacts
ReplyDeleteYour experiment is very interesting. Social media definitely has had a negative effect on society. It is interesting to hear about mental dependence to a social media site.
ReplyDeleteThis seems very interesting and I feel it applies to a lot of teens.
ReplyDeleteI am too interested to find out. Young people these days seem to be very addicted to their social media accounts. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great experiment because almost every person in this school is constantly on their phone trying to communicate with each other via social media. People are able to tell me which celebrity got in a new fight, but they are unable to look up for five minutes and have a face to face conversation.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with what you say. I see many people who constantly use social media. I see people who post pictures of their food when at a restaurant before they even start eating.
ReplyDeleteSocial media is a huge part of today's society. The results of your experiment will be interesting
ReplyDeleteNice! How are you planning on testing your experiment? I'm wondering if the results change when looking at just one social media outlet like Facebook versus another? Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great subject to experiment with because so many teens use social media
ReplyDeleteThe use of social media continues to grow everyday. Even older generations are becoming addicted to it.This experiment is super relevant.
ReplyDeleteNever knew about deterioration as a result of social media. That is something that could be relevant to many people.
ReplyDeleteI think this will be a very interesting experiment seeing as our society is driven by social media and I know many people who cannot function without their phones and have lost the desire to communicate with others. The results will be interesting but also alarming.
ReplyDeleteNot only is our generation addicted to the use of social media, older generations are becoming more prone to it. This experiment is very relevant and useful.
ReplyDeleteI am interested to see the results of this experiment because social media has a huge impact of everyone's lives.
ReplyDeleteThis experiment is going to be very good. because most teens in the world spend time on their phones. This results of the survey should be very
ReplyDeleteI think it would be interesting to document which sites cause the most tension between teens. I agree with you that social media causes kids to be disconnected from the real world.
ReplyDeleteThis experiment will be very relevant to our lives since we use it everyday
ReplyDeleteI am interested to see how your experiment turns out!
ReplyDeleteIs your survey going to ask them questions about their internet use?
ReplyDeleteThis is very relevant to people our age, it will be interesting to see the results.
ReplyDeleteThis seems very interesting, so many people are addicted to social media
ReplyDeleteIt will be very interesting to see which social media sites seem to be the most addictive.
ReplyDeleteI think your hypothesis about young adults now a days being addicted to social media is correct. I am curious how you are going to further gather your information. Some suggestions I would give is to conduct surveys or see how frequent people are on/ how many posts a person has and how frequent they post. Good luck!

Will your experiment specify specific social media websites that are major causes of mental dependence?
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a very interesting topic and I believe that it affects many teens around the world as well as Sandburg students.
ReplyDeleteToo many teens rely on social media and can go less than 24 hours without it. Wondering what the outcomes are.
