Group 23 - Whats up?

March 8th, 2016
Today is the first day of our path to the psychology fair. Tony and I are doing an experiment that consist of us asking brain teasing questions and documenting the responses of our test takers. This is a more live model of a survey.

March 9th, 2016
We started to research background information on our topic. It was frustrating at first because we kept getting sites that wanted to give us questions instead of what we were looking for, but we instead we narrowed our search question and got the results we were looking for. We also finished student handout 11 & 12.

March 10th, 2016
The first day of starting student handout 13. I have been researching how brain teasers help your memory while Tony has been researching how Brain tears give scientist a better knowledge and understanding of the brain. We are also gonna start giving Some easy brain teaser questions daily so tune in and mike sure to leave your comment. The answers will be given the following day.
QOTD: If there are 3 apples and you take away 2, how many do you have?

March 11th, 2016
Answer: You have 2 apples because you took 2 away
Today Tony & I were finishing up student handout 13. We found more information on the sources of brainteasers and what they do to the brain.WE at the moment are trying to develop a hypothesis that narrows down what we want from our audience. Do we want their reaction? Do we want their reaction to the correct answer? Should we tell them the correct answer? Should we give prizes to people with perfect scores? These questions we must answer and will by Monday.
QOTD: I am tall when I am new and short when I am old what am I?

March 14th, 2016
Answer: these are the two most common Candle & Pencil
Today Tony & I finished up our Thesis statement and Identifying our variables. We decided our project would have brain teasers but that these would be side-noted to us making subtle statements that we want the listener to remember. We want to know if the listener will remember this or will this go unnoticed due to the lack of attention they're giving us and how they're focusing on the task at hand.
QOTD: What can run but can't walk?

March 15th, 2016
Answer: The answer we are looking for Water
This day has been a work day. Tony & I have finished up the handouts of 16 and 17. We are really just trying to make sure we're taking all our steps in the right direction. This project has been challenging but nothing we think we can't overcome. We just are trying to be as precise as possible. There have been feelings of regret but there's no doubt we will figure this out.
QOTD: What 6 letter word becomes smaller when u add 2 letters to it.

March 16th, 2016
Answer: Small
Today Tony was absent so I talked to him about what we needed to get done and what should be the title for our project. We were stuck between DO You Copy? or Whats Up? Whats up was better because its intriguing to the audience and they want to know Whats Up and what does it mean. I have faith in our project that we will get a good reaction and vibe when psych fair comes.
QOTD: The more you take of these the more you leave behind what are these?

March 17th, 2016
Answer: Footsteps
Today we are finishing up the assignments due. We had to change 13 because of an inaccuracy on our part due to miscommunication. This project has caused us to think and put substantial effort into it but
I know it will pay off. The funny thing is when you think outside the box you've already put yourself in the box. Advice for today is to keep your mind free of all borders. That's a little off topic but just keep that though handy.
QOTD: What gets wetter the more it dries?

March 18th, 2016
Answer:Towel
Today Tony & I were working out our poster and finalizing everything with Mr.Vuillame. We also changed our group name to Enigma

Psychology fair overview
I think our experiment went well and we had a fun time doing it. The best part of it was the people's reaction to our answers and how simple they were. I do have some cons about our experiment. I think I overestimated the amount of people we could do because I didn't account for people who would return again and other variables like people not wanting to wait in a line or people who just wanted to watch. I also didn't like how some people would use us for our QR code and ask us questions but not actually try our experiment. All in all I think Tony & I had a good time and it was a good experiment to get us out of our comfort zone.
QOTD: What can u give and use, but never get back?

  2. These are some Grade A questions if I do say so myself. Though you may want to find some more just so you don't have to say the same ones over and over.
